Malevolent Colonies

Build a town. Power an industry. Give your citizens something to come home to.

Minecraft Java 1.21.1 · NeoForge · Colony building · Technology · Exploration

Your first camp is only the beginning. Raise a settlement of builders, farmers, craftspeople, and guards. Turn its outskirts into farms and factories, connect distant outposts, and venture beyond the walls for the next discovery worth bringing home.

Malevolent Colonies is the Malevolent Gods take on MC-TechColonies: a MineColonies-centered pack combining town management, industrial automation, dangerous adventures, and our own FourTwenty mod. Build a bustling capital, a quiet farming community, or a fortified industrial town with a dispensary down the street. Your colony gives every project a place in a larger world.

Make the colony your own

  • Lead a living settlement. MineColonies supplies the citizens, professions, construction, research, and defenses. Stylecolonies adds building styles, TownTalk gives your workers voices, and Domum Ornamentum opens up material choices for your architecture.
  • Put your town to work. Build Oritech processing lines, experiment with Immersive Machinery, and control your creations with Project Red wiring and logic. The pack includes recipes connecting MineColonies craftspeople to Oritech equipment, including jetpacks and exo armor.
  • Grow something different. FourTwenty brings cannabis farming, craftable smoking items, edibles, and a MineColonies Dispensary with its own Budtender profession.
  • Make the journey part of the adventure. Fly with Immersive Aircraft, sail with Small Ships, and connect destinations through Wormhole portals. Tectonic landscapes, underground dungeons, seaside structures, and rebuilt Nether fortresses give you reasons to keep exploring.
  • Prepare for trouble. Cataclysm bosses, hostile villages, evolving creatures, and a tougher Ender Dragon give your equipment a purpose. End Remastered makes reaching the End an exploration goal, while Stellarity and Deeper and Darker offer more to discover beyond the Overworld.
  • Enjoy life between expeditions. Cook with Farmer’s Delight, furnish your home with Handcrafted, display meals on the table, and earn extra hearts by trying different foods. Maps, recipe browsers, storage upgrades, and everyday conveniences help keep your attention on the next project.

FourTwenty: from the field to the dispensary

Our original FourTwenty mod adds a new crop and a new corner of colony life. Find wild cannabis, cultivate it on farmland, and turn harvested buds into joints, pipes, cookies, and brownies. Place a bong at your base to share its effects with nearby players.

With MineColonies, that harvest becomes part of the town:

  • Let colony farmers grow the crop using their familiar farming workflow.
  • Build and upgrade a Dispensary through five levels, expanding from a small shop into a larger shop and lounge.
  • Hire a Budtender to turn buds and paper into joints, with colony couriers supplying ingredients.
  • Serve eligible adult citizens living in completed level-3 or higher residences. Citizens collect and consume joints, use available seating, and then return to their routines.
  • Support citizen satisfaction and temporary maximum-health benefits through completed consumption, with a service panel to help you track staffing, supplies, and waiting customers.

FourTwenty is included in the pack. More original MineColonies-compatible mods from Malevolent Gods are planned for future updates as they become available.

Find your next project

Start with a builder’s hut and a reliable food supply. Expand into workshops and storage, then decide what your town needs next: a factory district, a harbor, an airfield, a furnished town square, or a dispensary supplied by your own fields. Between construction projects, pack a bag and follow a treasure map, explore a dungeon, or gather what you need for the journey to the End.

For help along the way, use JEI to look up recipes, Jade to inspect blocks and creatures, JourneyMap to mark discoveries, and Oracle Index to read supported mod guides in game. The MineColonies wiki is a useful companion for your first settlement.
