KMITB – A “Balanced” Modpack Feat. Guns

Ever wanted a “balanced” version of Minecraft that gives you the ability to use guns? Well, I thought it would be funny, so get ready to get kicked in the balls.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still Minecraft, but like… there’s guns now, and how could you possibly balance the game around guns? The answer is by making the game more complicated, with a new health system and making resources in the caves more scarce. That doesn’t mean that the game is just harder now cause I feel like it, there are plenty of QOL features as well, including inventory sorting, backpacks, and revamped structures, such as the stronghold and mineshafts.

But, there also new things in the game too (not including the guns)! There are even more structures and dungeons to explore, a new map to help you explore and mark where you’ve been, callable horses, collect your loot off your dead corpse and a whole lot more.

A quick reasoning as to why this modpack exists, I have always been intrigued by games like Rust and Escape From Tarkov and all other sorts of extraction shooters and I thought that I could make a version of Minecraft that could replicate those gameplay loops. This version of Minecraft gives you the freedom of building a base like in Rust, while also having the hardcore elements such as limb health from Escape From Tarkov.

This project is far from done (from what I can tell) and there are still things I want to add and test to see if the modpack is still “balanced” while still kicking you in the balls.
