Keep It Fine

My experimental modpack with fine mods, but little configuration. Enjoy everything: engineering, magic, farming and exploration!

Technology mods

This modpack focuses more on Immersive Engineering. I tried to make it lightweight in terms of technology mods, so I minimized the number of alternatives that bring similar experience. So besides Immersive Engineering there is EnderIO for compatibility with Agricraft water tanks, Mekanism – for cool portals, but we don’t have IndustrialCraft2, Buildcraft etc. Sorry if this is not what you prefer to deal with in modded Minecraft. I advise you to check the full modlist below so you can make sure this modpack is to your liking.

Configs and ore generation

I try to fix any compatibility errors between mods that are possible to patch in configuration files. So you’re welcome to report those kind of problems. But I’m not sure I’ll be spending time on tweaking ore generation (at least we have InstantUnify for unifying different types of ores in the inventory).

Recommendations

Recommended amount of RAM for JVM (-Xmx): 4GB

If you have issues with connections timeout (while connecting to a server) after loading terrain, try to pass the following JVM argument to both a server and a client: -Dfml.readTimeout=180

You may want to use Optifine for nice FPS optimizations and dynamic lightning (unfortunately including it to modpacks is prohibited).

Known issues

• Traveling Merchant (and maybe some other mobs) from Primitive Mobs won’t spawn
