JasdoSMP’s Return to Nature Overhaul

Welcome to the 2nd season of JasdoSMP, just over a year after we started season 1.

Mods and changes: As with season 1, the server is going for a vanilla+ experience. However, this time, things are going to start a little more balanced. New world generation:

• The new server map will be generated using Terralith, which utilises existing Minecraft blocks in order to create brand new and enhanced biomes. Terralith was chosen because it has great server compatibility, looks great, and is friendly towards low-end computers.

Mediashare:

• Now you can craft and place frames, monitors and tvs that allow you to play videos and display images of your choice. What could go wrong.

Balanced from the start:

• Although it was something to grind for, there won’t be any high-tech / overpowered item mods in the game day one. The skilltree (and all the issues that came with it) has been removed, as well as the trinket mod and mekanism mods. Don’t worry, there are still many ways to do the things you could do with the items those mods provided (eg. hover or fly to build things easier), they will just require more of an analogue approach. More tech mods can be added later, but the launch won’t have nuclear fusion.

All the originals:

• Most of the mods that added significant gameplay to the previous server will be BACK. This includes the cooking, armours, decorations and more. The modlist will be significantly smaller in order to reduce lag, but the size decrease mainly consists of small mods that did not greatly impact gameplay to a memorable extent.
