Immersive Immersion

Summary

Immersive Immersion pack was put together for myself and friends to force ourselves to dig deeper into Immersive Engineering. We’ve always included it in our packs but it’s quickly overpowered by other mods. This pack focuses around Immersive Engineering and multi-block structures. Some recipes have been tweaked to encourage use of IE machines. For example, silicon from Refined Storage requires an Arc Furnace to create. The other mods in the pack are centered around either expanding vanilla mechanics, e.g. farming, or giving simple quality of life improvements.

Changes

• Smelting of ores in the vanilla furnace is removed with smelting through Tinker’s Smeltery being the recommended method for obtaining ingots early game. This is reminiscent of the change in the Age of Engineering modpack.
• OpenComputers diamond chips are gated through the IE Crusher. One diamond provides 9 diamond chips. Transistors have been changed to require Quartz Enriched Iron instead of plain Iron.
• Refined Storage is gated through multiple changes:
  • Machine casings require Steel Plates and Bronze Casings (from Forestry).
  • Silicon is made in the Arc Furnace with Quartz
• The Crusher has been adjusted to give 4x dust per ore making it an upgrade from TC’s Smeltery.
