Most horror modpacks just kill you. Monsters flood your world, jump scares stack up, and before you can even react — death screen. No buildup. No tension. Just instant death over and over until it stops meaning anything. Gone by Morning is different. This is a slow burn. The horror doesn’t announce itself — it settles in quietly, and by the time you notice it, it’s already too late. You won’t be killed on sight. You’ll be watched. Followed. Studied. And when the time is right, you’ll simply be gone. No death message. No warning. Just… gone. It could happen on your first night. It could happen on your fifteenth. The not knowing is the point. This is a world of dark forests and darker nights, where your torchlight barely reaches the treeline — and something is always standing just beyond it. Entities don’t charge at you. They stalk. They wait. And your weapons won’t save you. Those who get caught don’t come back. They go to the Wonderland. Play with friends. Just don’t let them out of your sight — because if they go quiet, you won’t know if they walked away or were taken. The world is beautiful on purpose. That’s how it distracts you. The moment your guard drops is the moment it wins. Things are never what they seem. You just won’t realize it until morning
