GATE Guns & Magic

What is it? 

An RPG experience that combines both Guns and Magic seamlessly, hence the name Guns and Magic. The pack revolves around the 10 races and their Great War, with Humans being the only ones unable to use magic. The Great War was a legendary war between the 10 races until it was interrupted by an Anomaly. Players have the choice to specialize in magic or guns to uncover the Foreign threat. As they progress through the lore, they will be able to combine both the power of guns and magic.

What does it offer?

A boss-driven progression experience packed with sandbox elements including playable races, 250+ guns, 140+ vehicles and multiple hardcore bosses. Players mix and match different spells and guns from the likes of TACZ, ars, and irons spellbooks to create the best arsenal they can think of while they progress through the lore behind the Anomaly.

I have always wanted to build an experience where tech goes head on against magic but with a little spin. Hence, why I made this.

Notes

• It is recommended to play this modpack in prism launcher
• If you have suggestions, please let me know as I will greatly appreciate feedback
• There is a known bug between Gunfire overhaul and the latest SBW 0.8.9 where sbw weapons get infinite ammo. I would recommend disabling gunfire overhaul until it gets fixed
• If you happen to summon the enraged dead king and it crashes, downgrade irons spell book version back to 3.15.6 and kill off the entity. Then update back to 3.16.1. DO NOT SUMMON THE ENRAGED DEAD KING AGAIN.

This is currently in Beta and is not the final product. Changes may occur in the future in terms of balancing, quests tweaks and features.

If you want higher vehicle textures, remove the GATE_Optimization_Pack resource pack. That is there for those who do not have a good GPU. In case you want to revert it but cannot because it keeps crashing, you can add it back through the options.txt
