From The Ground Up : Build Your World

Introduction

From The Ground Up is a modpack focused on giving builders the ease and freedom to shape their ambitions and plans in a survival world. This modpack aims to mainly provide a wide variety of blocks and accessories to the player, while giving them the automation tools necessary to hasten the production and delivery of aforementioned blocks.

This modpack, while having certain structures and challenges, is not aimed to be an Adventure/RPG type modpack. While it has certain elements of magic and dimensions, those are meant to bring extra utility and block palette variation to the builder. Everything in the modpack is designed to put creating large and/or detailed and intricate structures and buildings at the forefront.

Points of Interest

While building and block palette experimentation are front and center, that doesn’t mean there aren’t more points of interest the player can choose to pursue and add spice into their building journey.

• Tetra and Addons allow for the creation of specialized gear and tools that aid the player in both building, keeping mobs at bay, and traversing the world.
• Tinker’s Construct adds their own set of tools in conjunction with Tetra. The system is more modular, and additional tools like the smeltery and piggybackpack add further convinience.
• The Thermal Series focus on single block-style automation mods. Running off of RF, they make everything around the player just a bit more accessible.
• Create is unique, and adds more than just its machinery, which can be used to further improve automation. Consider its trains, and linking up cities and towns far and across the world.
• Farmer’s Delight and Addons, and Farming For Blockheads both allow the player to concoct a variety of foods to try, bringing local specialties to places across their world.
• Twilight Forest adds many new beautiful blocks for the builder to use, and also poses quite the challenge for those who still seek an adventure.
• Oh The Biomes You’ll Go, Biomes O Plenty, and Darker Depths all add intricate and colorful world generation, hopefully giving ideas and inspiration to those who wander.
• Forbidden and Arcanus, Comforts, Magnum Torch, and more all add quality of life improvements, from unbreakable tools to anti-mob spawning.
• Integrated Dungeons and YUNG’s Structures bring a spark of life into the world. While not as large and sprawling as the dungeons and structures in When Dungeons Arise, they still add a bit of depth to the world around the player.
