Small Life is a simple modpack that is client side, that means you can use it on server. It adds a couple of upgades to the vanilla game but keep it vanilla friendly.

The Perfect modpack if you just want to play vanilla with extra stuff like a double hotbar, extra performance or animations. Better accessibility, tweaks, graphical improvements, great sound design. 
You can play it on server with friends or in solo.

I recommend to not update Spark and Sodium Extra.
