Cooking with Create

Description

This modpack is intended to give you a bit of a challenge while you explore the world and automate yourself into Nirvana. It has a few mods to overhaul terrain and structures, add new features, and just make life easier.

I tried to keep the mods minimal to not make the download size and impact on the memory too large.

This is a modpack I created because I felt either overwhelmed or underwhelmed by the other modpacks on the platform. Some basics:

Minecraft Version

The version is 1.20.1 and I don’t intend on changing that. Simply because I prefer 1.20.1 over newer or older versions.

Visuals

• Colorful Containers and Mandala GUI for a darker theme that’s more friendly on the eyes.
• Fresh Textures to liven up vanilla textures.
• Complimentary Reimagined as a shader, because I like the look of it.
• Wakes for some ultimately useless but visually appealing water effects.
• Has some mods that add/change GUI items, so some of them might overlap.
• Dynamic Lights for cool lighting effects.
• Variants and Ventures for new mob variants.
• Xaero’s World Map and Minimap for navigation.
• Oculus with Embeddium for shaders and optimising.
• A resource pack to Create-ify Sophisticated Backpacks.
• Appleskin to show saturation.

Mods

Focus Mods

These mods are in my opinion the ‘core’ mods of the pack. They have a bunch of add-ons for them, but I tried to keep it minimal.

• Create because it’s the best mod of course.
• Farmer’s Delight because it adds a lot of new food options.
• Ice and Fire because Dragons are cool.

Terrain Generation

• Terralith for Vanilla-friendly tweaks to Overworld terrain generation.
• Alex’s Caves because it adds a lot of new things to explore.
• Quark because it adds a lot of nice Vanilla+ features.
• Even Better Nether for a Nether overhaul.
• End’s Phantasm for an End overhaul.
• A bunch of Yung’s mods because they look pretty good.
• Alex’s Mobs and Naturalist for more animal variety.
• Continents arranges terrain into more sensible landmasses.

QOL

• JEI, Jade and a bunch of add-ons for JEI to help with all the added content.
• Sophisticated Backpacks for hoarding items.
• Sophisticated Storage for larger storage containers.

Added Features

• Cold Sweat for added Survival difficulty.
• Immersive Weathering to upgrade the environment.
• Epic Fight for a combat refresher.
• Ars Nouveau to make magic great again. 
• Scorched Guns to bring some freedom to Minecraft.
• Serene Seasons because it makes the world seem more alive.

Utility Mods

• Supplementaries for some extra Vanilla+ stuff.
• Pick Up Notifier for a cute RPG-style pickup notification.
• Polymorph because it is the undisputed GOAT of solving recipe conflicts.
• Mouse Tweaks and Inventory Sorter for convenience.
• Explorer’s Compass and Nature’s Compass for finding structures and biomes.
• Curios for more equipment slots.
• Carry On for the lazy people (me).

Not Mentioned
