The world has been left in ruin, humanity wiped from the face of it, leaving very few left alive. The things that wiped out most of humanity, of course, is sufficiently lethal and capable of overrunning most any army left standing.
That said, all you have left is to try and survive. Will you rise from the ashes, or will you die as did your predecessors? This new world is harsh, and just about everything is out to kill you. Good luck.
