Afterfall Ruined Streets is a zombie survival modpack built around abandoned cities, dangerous supply runs and the choices you make to survive another day.

Search buildings for food, medicine and equipment. Develop your character, find shelter and explore alone or with friends. A quiet street can give you a moment to breathe — a gunshot can take it away.

Explore beyond the street

Ruined apartments, hospitals and towers turn the city into a place worth searching. Step inside for supplies, watch your exits and decide how much you can carry home. Infected variants and hostile human encounters make preparation matter.

Every shot has a cost

Firearms can save a supply run, but their noise can draw infected toward the fight. Buildings and barricades shape the chase; securing a way out matters as much as landing the next shot. Horde events and escalating danger give you reasons to prepare before trouble arrives.

Your character, your way through the city

• Professions and skills: choose a starting profession and develop your character through play.
• Movement and parkour: unlock movement abilities and learn when to climb, vault or escape.
• Survival and treatment: manage hunger, thirst, temperature, injuries and infection.
• Teams and radios: coordinate supply runs with your friends using team tools and radio communication.
• A shared visual identity: field-journal menus, atmospheric sound and optional visual enhancements tie the experience together.

Start small. Learn the essentials.

1. Choose a profession. Open the character and skill screen with K by default. Read an ability’s description and controls before relying on it.
2. Find water, food and medical supplies. Check JEI for recipes, including bandages made from suitable clothing. If you become infected, look for appropriate medicine.
3. Prepare a shelter and an exit. Keep some supplies in reserve and consider what a noisy fight could bring to your building.
4. Check your controls. Key bindings can be changed in Options → Controls; use the in-game guide for more detail.

Installation & performance

• Install the modpack through the CurseForge app, or import its official CurseForge ZIP as a new profile.
• Use Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge and Java 17. Keep the Forge and dependency versions supplied by the pack.
• Shaders are optional. The gallery includes shader-enhanced gameplay screenshots; lighting and performance depend on your settings and hardware.
• For a lighter setup, disable shaders and reduce render distance first. Allow the world time to load when entering a city.
• In multiplayer, keep clients and the server on matching pack versions. Avoid mixing individual updates from different releases.

Afterfall continues to evolve through testing and feedback. Balance, encounters and loot may change between releases; check each file’s changelog for the features included in that version.

Afterfall Compatibility is the pack’s companion mod. The full experience also depends on the modpack’s configuration, scripts and other included mods.
