Overview

Adventure Ballad is focused on exploration, adventure, and magic (with a little
tech from Create).

Think of this pack as a Vanilla+ experience.

Notable Features

Additional Dimensions

• The Twilight Forest: A classic adventure mod contained in its own dimension.
• The Undergarden: A new dimension with its own unique flora and fauna.
  Hopefully in the future, this mod will be expanded upon to include more
  content.
• The Aether: Another self-contained dimension with dungeons, bosses, and new
  mobs.

Quality of Life

• Lootr: Don’t destroy those loot chests! Your friends will thank you.
• Complementary Shaders: Enabled by default!
• Waystones: Fast travel.
• Comforts: Sleeping bags and hammocks for when you’re out exploring.
• Find Me: Where did I put the slime balls again?

Revamped Vanilla

• "YUNG’s Better …": Redesigned vanilla structures. These maintain the spirit
  of vanilla, while providing a much-needed facelift.
• Cataclysm: More challenging dungeons and bosses across the main dimensions!
• The Outer End: Expands the End dimension with new biomes, structures, and
  mobs.
• Apotheosis: A revamp of the vanilla enchanting system, with new enchantments
  and mechanics. Don’t worry, the vanilla system still works too.
• Better Archeology: Improvements to the vanilla archeology system, with new
  artifacts and mechanics.
• Cooking for Blockheads: Better and more diverse food options from the existing
  vanilla crops.
• Creeper Overhaul: Those aren’t normal Creepers…
• Enderman Overhaul: What do you mean that Enderman breed teleports me?!?! Aww,
  that other one is little and cute though.

Additional Content

• Sophisticated Backpacks & Storage: You’ll need somewhere to store all your
  loot!
• Artifacts: Are you sure that’s a normal loot chest?
• Ars Nouveau: A magic mod that doesn’t require a ton of resources to get
  started.
• Blood Magic: In case you were missing a giant sacrificial altar in your base.
• Corail Tombstone: You wanted more magic? Here you go! And also gravestones!
• Botania: Healthy plant-based magic
• Iron’s Spells ‘n Spellbooks: I heard you like magic. So I put magic in your
  magic.
• "Macaw’s …": More decorative blocks and items.
• Chisels & Bits: Don’t like the blocks available? Make your own!
• Create + addons: Get those single block factories OUTTA HERE! This is as close
  to tech as you’ll get in this pack. Build giant wondrous contraptions!
• More Music Discs & More Music Discs (Records): More music for your jukebox!
• KubeJS: Custom recipes and tweaks to make the pack feel more cohesive. Also
  finally be able to craft additional pottery sherds! (You still need to get at
  least 1! Just like smithing templates.)

How do I find all these new structures and biomes?

Need help finding all these new structures? Craft a "Structure Compass"!
You will need to prepare yourself to face the Wither boss to obtain the
necessary ingredients though!

Anti-grind fatigue

Some aspects of Vanilla Minecraft just take too long for little reward. Time you
could be spending exploring, building, or fighting! So a number of the mods in
this pack have been chosen to help alleviate some of that grind.

• Easy Villagers: No more complicated breeding buildings and panicking when a
  villager escapes. Put those pesky villagers into a cube!
• Botany Pots: Grow and harvest crops in pots! Go explore while your crops take
  care of themselves.
• Mob Grinding Utils: A way to automate mob farms without Big Tech. Although you
  could just use "Create".

Future Plans

• Add FTB Quests for a more guided experience.
