Advancing the basics

Advancing the basics is a modpack aiming to expand upon the base Minecraft experience with as start the Distant Horizons mod in combination with Iris, Terralith, Tectonic, Terrablender and Biomes ‘O Plenty. This combination allows for realistic terrain generation with beautiful and far views. Also to make playing with friends easier Essential allows one to easily host a server and quickly invite friends to join.

To further add to the ambiance AmbientEnviroment, AmbientSounds and Serene Seasons have been added. Apart form ambiance the pack contains the YUNG’s Better mod series to overhaul and advance the basic minecraft structures and provide further content to the end and nether. Furthermore Deeper and Darker expands upon the deep dark for more late game content. To aid in the exploration mods like NatureCompass, TravelersBackpacks, Journeymap and wraiths waystones were added to more easily find biomes, care all the found loot, find your way and quickly travel between points of interest. And last but not least AdAstra allows you to explore the stars after completing your base journey.
