WoM (Whitelist of Mods)

WoM is a comprehensive, high-security client-server mod verification and protection system for Fabric. It ensures that only authorized mods are used on your server, protecting your community against unauthorized clients, cheats, and mod spoofing attempts.

Features

• Dual List System: Supports both Whitelist (only allowed mods) and Blacklist (banned mods) modes, or both simultaneously.
• Deep Metadata Verification: In strict_mode, WoM doesn’t just check the mod ID. It verifies the mod’s version, author, and file size to prevent simple ID spoofing.
• Advanced Anti-Spoofing:
• Nonce validation to prevent replay attacks.
• Honeypot mod detection (catches clients lying about installed mods).
• Minimum mod count verification.
• Mandatory presence of the WoM mod itself on the client.
• Smart Fabric API Handling: If fabric-api is in your whitelist, all its submodules (e.g., fabric-api-base, fabric-biome-api-v1) are automatically allowed, keeping your config clean.
• Detailed Player Logging: Automatically saves a detailed report of every player’s installed mods to config/wom/players/<PlayerName>/. Includes a built-in cooldown system to prevent log spam from rapid reconnects.
• Multi-language & Customizable: Built-in support for 12 languages (English, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Italian, Polish). You can also override any message directly in the config.
• In-Game Management: Fully functional admin commands with tab-completion for adding/removing mods without manually editing files.

Installation

⚠️ IMPORTANT: This mod must be installed on BOTH the server and the client. If a player joins without the mod, they will be automatically kicked for a timeout.

Server Setup

1. Download the latest Whitelist-Of-Mods-1.1.0.jar.
2. Place the file into your server’s mods/ folder.
3. Start the server to generate the default configuration file.
4. Configure the mod to your liking (see Configuration below).
5. Restart the server.

Client Setup

1. Download the exact same Whitelist-Of-Mods-1.1.0.jar file.
2. Place it into your Minecraft client’s mods/ folder.
3. Launch the game and connect to the server.

Configuration

After the first server launch, a configuration file will be generated at config/wom.json.

Key settings include:

• "check_type": "WHITELIST", "BLACKLIST", or "BOTH".
• "action": "KICK" (disconnect immediately) or "WARN" (send a warning to the player and online admins).
• "strict_mode": true to verify version/author/size, false for ID-only checks (faster but less secure).
• "language": Set your preferred language code (e.g., "en_us", "ru_ru", "pl_pl").

Note: Changing the "language" field or making manual edits to the config requires a full server restart to apply correctly.

You can also add custom messages or override built-in translations using the "messages" object in the config.

Commands

All commands require Operator (OP) permissions (Level 2+).
