New Challenges Await

Wannabe Bosses adds a collection of powerful yet balanced (for vanilla) custom bosses designed to high-intensity encounters into Minecraft. Each boss has its own identity, attack patterns, visual effects, custom boss bar, soundtrack support, and phase-based combat.

18th October 2026 Update: the mod was fully reworked. Better animations, better sounds, better effects… you name it!

This project was made for my modpack: Skybound Origins (please check it out). However, you can use this mod in your modpack as well.

Feel free to make videos or other stuff,. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Current Bosses

Nyx, Goddess of Night and Darkness

A void keeper boss who commands purple celestial energy, meteors, magical projectiles, and final-phase orb manifestations. Nyx uses custom visual effects, spellcasting animations, and a unique custom boss bar to create a dark fantasy encounter. To summon the Night Goddess, you need to interact with her altar in the End Dimension.

Itaru Uchigane

A fast and aggressive multi-phase boss inspired by Uchiha Itachi with melee pressure, fire attacks, Tsukuyomi and a final phase empowered by Susanoo. To summon Itaru, you need to interact with his altar in the Crow’s Rest (Nether).

Darth Varyn, Ancient Sith Lord

A dark cyber-Sith inspired boss who uses devastating custom attacks such as Sith Force Execution, Dark Saber Rift, and Dark Side Groundbreaker. Expect leap attacks, shockwaves, rune markers and final-phase pressure. To fight him you need to defeat Itaru and get his Totsuka’s Blade. Find the abandoned Sith Altar in the Swamp biomes and figure the secret of how to enter the cosmos.

Custom music is WIP, also the texture of some items will be changed.

Somewhat compatible with Shaders (use Solas Shaders).

Not tested in multiplayer/servers, but it should work.
