An independent compatibility patch for Cobblemon Quests and FTB Teams.
What it fixes
Cobblemon Quests 1.2.0 can credit Have Registered tasks to personal quest data while a player belongs to an FTB party. The party quest book then shows incomplete progress despite a caught Pokédex record. This patch corrects that team lookup. Existing login and Pokédex-update handlers automatically credit the current team.
Starters, catches and evolutions qualify when Cobblemon records them as caught. Seeing a Pokémon alone does not count. Shared completion stays shared; solo players continue using their personal team.
Required versions
- Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge 21.1.x / Java 21
- Cobblemon Quests 1.2.0
- FTB Quests 2101.1.34
- FTB Teams 2101.1.11
- Cobblemon 1.7.3 or later within the 1.7 series
These version limits are deliberate. Other versions require validation. Keep all dependencies installed.
Installation
Stop the server, back up the world, and put the patch JAR in its mods folder. Restart fully, then rejoin to recheck existing caught records. A quest reload cannot load a new mod. Designed for server-side installation; it adds no client content or network channel.
Original mod JARs and quest definitions are not replaced. One method call is corrected at runtime. Normal completion and configured rewards still apply. Removing the patch does not undo saved progress.
Validation
Passed 45 automated bytecode/behaviour checks and 46 checks across isolated NeoForge dedicated-server runs: party and solo credit, login backfill, capture, evolution, rewards, restart persistence and an unpatched control. A graphical client, quest-book UI and the full modpack were not exercised by the server test harness.
