Vital Edge

Vital Edge renders a subtle 4-edge screen gradient that reflects your armor’s durability — no HUD text, no icons, no new items. Just ambient color at the edges of your screen.

How it works

The overlay color shifts based on your equipped armor’s aggregate durability:

| Durability | Color |
|—|—|
| 70–100% | Green |
| 40–69% | Amber |
| 15–39% | Orange |
| 5–14% | Red |
| <5% | Pulsing red (shore wave) |

• No armor equipped → overlay off entirely
• Partial armor → calculated from equipped slots only
• Damage surge → heartbeat pulse on taking damage
• Biome blend → subtle hue shift based on your current biome
• Y-height modifier → brightens above Y=0, darkens below

Settings persist across sessions.

Roadmap

v1.1 will extend compatibility to Minecraft 1.21.1–1.21.11 with no new features.
