Villager War

Villager War turns villages into small realms. Mobilize villagers into an army, defend your village from raids, declare war on your neighbours and turn the defeated into colonies.

This is a beta. Back up your world first, and please report any bugs you find.

COMMAND AN ARMY

Mobilize villagers into guards with the General’s Wand.

Give orders: follow, hold, guard a spot, move, patrol a zone.

Choose a stance: aggressive, defensive or passive.

Guards use swords, bows and crossbows, cover themselves with shields and pick up better gear by themselves.

Iron and snow golems obey the wand too.

RULE A VILLAGE

Place a Village Block to found a village with its own borders, map and custom flag.

Share power with officer and resident roles, tied to player accounts.

Clerics throw healing potions at wounded allies, and blacksmiths repair iron golems.

Defend against pillager raids. Repelling a raid lets you claim a village nobody rules.

GO TO WAR

Declare war on any village by its number.

Guards and golems of warring villages fight each other.

Offer peace or demand surrender. A village nobody plays for will not give up without a fight.

Defeated villages become colonies and fly your flag.

NEW VILLAGES

Small old-style villages and large walled towns with gates and towers join the vanilla ones, and each village gets its own guards.

GOOD TO KNOW

Requires NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1, on both the client and the server.

Use a new world. New village types only appear in newly generated chunks.

Compatibility: the mod replaces the minecraft:villages structure set, so other mods that change it may conflict. Whichever loads later wins.

Config: raids, wars and guard numbers can be changed in config/villagerwar-common.toml.

Languages: English, Ukrainian, Russian, French, Spanish, Polish, German.
