Vampirism DNA Syringe

Want to start over without losing everything? This addon for Vampirism lets you store your entire faction progress in a syringe before you reset to human, then earn it back later. It works for Vampires, Hunters, and Werewolves.

How it works

1. Extract. Craft an Empty Syringe and use it on yourself. You get a Raw DNA Syringe that holds your faction, level, lord level and unlocked skills.
2. Purify. Raw DNA only restores 50% of your power. Purify it in an anvil to restore 100%.
3. Reset. Go back to being human, or switch your playstyle, whenever you like.
4. Restore. Use the syringe to start getting your power back. Levels return slowly, three at a time, and then your lord levels follow.

The price of power

Your body can’t take it all at once. Every step of the restoration hits you with a backlash: heavy damage based on your max health (never lethal) plus Weakness, Slowness, Nausea and Hunger. Dying mid-restoration pauses it and resets the progress of the current step. Going back to human cancels the whole thing.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge
• Vampirism 1.10.17 or newer
• Werewolves (optional, for werewolf DNA)
• Must be installed on both the server and every client

Configuration

All values are in config/vampirism_dna-common.toml: levels per step, seconds per step, backlash percentage and effects, the efficiency of raw DNA, and the item, amount and XP cost for purification. The Configured mod gives you a settings screen for it if you prefer one.
