TOBI’s Waypoints

TOBI’s Waypoints is a polished, customizable waypoint mod that helps you mark important locations, track destinations, and explore Minecraft without cluttering your screen.

Create waypoints for your home, mines, storage rooms, portals, villages, farms, or anything else you want to remember.

Now client-first! Personal waypoints work on multiplayer servers without requiring server-side installation.

Client-First Multiplayer Support

Use TOBI’s Waypoints on public multiplayer servers without requiring the server owner to install the mod!

• Create, edit, save, and track personal waypoints locally
• Separate waypoint storage for each world and multiplayer server
• Waypoints persist after disconnecting or restarting Minecraft
• Share locations with friends using waypoint codes
• Use personal deathpoints and world markers in multiplayer

Note: Waypoints do not grant unauthorized teleportation. Multiplayer server permissions are always respected.

Automatic Deathpoints

Never forget where you died!

• Automatically marks your last death location
• Keeps up to 10 recent deathpoints
• Displays timestamps in 12-hour AM/PM format
• Optional automatic cleanup: Deathpoints can disappear when you return to their location
• Respawn safeguards prevent accidental immediate removal
• Enable or disable cleanup in the Waypoint Manager

Optional Waystones Integration

Using the Waystones mod? TOBI’s Waypoints can automatically create markers for Waystones your character knows or activates.

• Automatically imports discovered/known Waystones
• Organizes imports into a dedicated Waystones group
• Preserves Waystone names and locations
• Prevents duplicate imports
• Deleted imported markers stay deleted
• Automatic importing can be turned ON or OFF

Waystones and Balm are optional. They are not required to use TOBI’s Waypoints. Multiplayer Waystones importing requires compatible Waystones functionality on the client and server, but not TOBI’s Waypoints on the server.

How to Use

Y — Open the Waypoint Manager.

K — Toggle the corner waypoint list.

Create waypoints at your current position or enter coordinates manually. Customize their names, colors, icons, groups, notes, and display settings.

Select a waypoint and use Focus to begin tracking it.

Singleplayer Teleporting

When cheats are enabled, you can safely teleport to saved waypoints in singleplayer. The mod searches for a safe nearby position before placing you at your destination.

• Multiplayer: Client-side personal waypoints; no TOBI server installation required
• Optional: Waystones and Balm

Smooth waypoint rendering has been verified in a heavily modded Forge environment with VSync enabled. Shader-pack compatibility has not yet been fully verified.
