The Mask

Kill the Ender Dragon together… but one of you is wearing the Mask.

The Mask is a multiplayer social deduction mod for Minecraft survival, made for 3 to 10 players and long streams. The whole team has one goal: beat the Ender Dragon. But a secret impostor is hidden among you, and they earn points by sabotaging the run without getting caught.

How it works

• The wheel: when the game starts, a wheel spins for everyone at the same time and secretly picks who wears the Mask. Everyone clicks Ready before the game begins, so nobody can be spotted by their reaction.
• Sabotage cards: the impostor picks 1 card out of 3 and has 20 minutes to complete it. Cards are generated from what is really happening in your world: break the furnace another player placed, get a player killed by a nearby mob, burn the team’s iron, set someone on fire… Completed cards give points, failed ones cost half.
• Trials: anyone can type /accuse <player>. After a 20 second warning, the world freezes and everyone is teleported to a courtroom. The accuser speaks first, then everyone discusses and votes in secret. Guilty or acquitted, the verdict is shown to all.
• Points: accusing an innocent costs points. An unmasked impostor loses half of their round’s gains, shared between the other players. During a trial, the impostor can secretly give points to another player to make them look suspicious.
• Ghosts: when you die, you become an invisible ghost for 3 minutes. Nobody can see or hear you, and you cannot touch anything. You only come back to life when nobody is looking.
• End of game: when the dragon dies, everyone meets in the courtroom for a big end screen: final ranking, every impostor round, every trial (with the truth revealed) and fun stats.

• Custom menus for everything: the wheel, cards, votes, ranking and end screen.
• A tablet for the host, in its own slot next to the hotbar: start or stop the game, manage players and admins, and read the rules, all without typing commands.
• Lobby: players wait in the courtroom until the game starts.
• Voice rules with Simple Voice Chat: ghosts are muted, only the accuser talks during the accusation, and everyone is muted while the wheel spins.
• Custom sound effects.
• English and French (France and Canada).

• Simple Voice Chat (voice rules: muted ghosts, the accuser speaks first)
• Essential (host your world and invite your friends for free, no server needed)
• The mod must be installed on the server and on every player’s game. The CurseForge launcher installs everything automatically.

Made for Minecraft 1.21.1 with Fabric.

How to play

1. Create a world: you arrive in the lobby with your tablet.
2. Invite your friends with Essential.
3. Scroll to the tablet slot, right-click, open Game and press Start the game.

Tips for streamers

Add a delay to your stream so chat cannot reveal who wears the Mask.
