Talking Villagers (Fabric)

Villagers, witches, wandering traders and illagers talk – with real recorded voices instead of “hmm”.
They greet you, gossip, complain about the rain, scream for help when zombies come, whisper while hiding from a raid – and illagers taunt you in battle.

Getting started

1. Install the mod. On Fabric you also need Fabric API; Mod Menu is recommended for the settings.
2. Download a voicepack – without one, everything sounds like vanilla. The default pack: TeaJay Default 0.1.0
3. Open Mods → Talking Villagers → Configure and drag the .voicepack file into the window.

Features

• Voices for villagers, wandering traders, witches, pillagers, vindicators, evokers and illusioners in 67 situations, from greetings and trading to raids, panic and battle cries.
• Male, female and child voices. Every villager keeps its own voice and pitch; children get a new voice when they grow up.
• Reacts to what happens: your reputation, raids, zombies, profession, weather and time of day.
• Languages: each village can speak its own language.
• Voicepack manager in game: install by drag and drop, listen to every line, change settings.
• Multiplayer: players get the server’s voicepacks offered when they join. Players without the mod hear vanilla sounds.

Record your own voicepack in the browser with the web editor – recording studio, noise removal and export included. Old version 1 voice packs can be converted in game.
