Smooth Zooming — Smooth zoom for Minecraft
Forget about the sharp camera jerks and annoying OptiFine zoom. Smooth Zooming adds a smooth, cinematic zoom — the camera feels alive, rather than twitching between shots. What ‘s inside

Smooth zoom animation — no sudden FOV jumps, zoom in and out flow into each other naturally
🖱️ Zoom with the mouse wheel — hold down the zoom key and turn the wheel to accurately select the desired zoom
⌨️ Own buttons for approaching/distancing – if the wheel does not fit (broken, uncomfortable, playing without a mouse) — lock any keys for yourself
🎚️ Smart mouse sensitivity reduction – during zoom, aiming becomes more accurate, like in sniper mods, and not like in a vanilla camera
Reset to default — each new zoom press starts from a clean slate, not from the same level where you left off last time.

Smooth Zooming — Keybinds

Zoom key (default: C) — hold to activate zoom. Each new press starts fresh at the default zoom level, so it never gets stuck where you last left it.

Mouse wheel — while holding the zoom key, scroll to fine-tune zoom distance. Works by default, no setup needed.

Zoom In / Zoom Out keys — unbound by default, available in Controls settings under “Smoothness”. Bind any key you like if your scroll wheel doesn’t work well, or if you just prefer keyboard control. Only work while the zoom key is held.

In the keybind menu, hovering over Zoom In/Zoom Out shows a tooltip noting the mouse wheel is the default input, so players know why nothing’s bound there out of the box.

All keys are fully rebindable through vanilla Controls settings — no extra config files needed.
