A lightweight Mixin-based patch mod that resolves a critical crash caused by infinite NBT nesting in AnythingSlashBlade.

The Issue

In the original AnythingSlashBlade mod, switching bound items back and forth recursively nests the item’s previous NBT data inside ASB.BoundItem.

Repeated swapping causes exponential NBT growth until it hits Minecraft’s internal NBT depth limit, resulting in a fatal game crash (depth > 512) and potential save corruption for players or worlds.

What This Mod Does

• Flattens Nested Tags: Intercepts item binding and strips previous ASB.BoundItem tags before saving.

• Preserves All Item Data: Retains all complex NBT properties, including:

  • Tinkers’ Construct (TiC / TiCEX) stats, materials, modifiers, and upgrades

  • Timeless and Classics Zero (TACZ) gun configurations and ammo counts

  • Enchantments, custom names, and SlashBlade internal states (bladeState, kill counts, proud souls)

• Completely Prevents depth > 512: NBT depth is permanently locked to 1 level, allowing infinite item swaps with zero data explosion.

This mod is an add-on patch and requires the following to run:

• AnythingSlashBlade (Required)

• SlashBlade: Resharped

Side Compatibility

• Client / Server: Safe for both Singleplayer and Dedicated Servers (Client-side logic hook, works out-of-the-box in modpacks).
