Sky Resource Generators

Simple machines that turn a tiny skyblock island into an endless supply of ores, raw materials, seeds and saplings. No power, no configuration: craft a generator, give it what it needs, and collect the output.

Built for NeoForge 1.21.1. Works with any mod that tags its ores and materials with the standard c: tags.

Inventory generators

These store what they produce in a 3×3 inventory. Right-click to open the interface, or pull items out with hoppers and pipes.

Generator	What it does
Simple Ore Generator	Place an ore block on top of it. It produces 1 copy of that ore every second.
Advanced Ore Generator	Same as the simple one, at 2 ores per second.
Random Ore Generator	Produces 1 random raw material (`c:raw_materials`) every second.
Random Seed Generator	Produces 1 random seed (`c:seeds`) every second.
Random Sapling Generator	Produces 1 random sapling (`minecraft:saplings`) every second.

Placement generators

These place ore blocks in the free space above them, once per tick. Mine the block and the next one appears.

Generator	What it does
Simple Ore Placement Generator	Place it on an ore block. It copies that ore above itself.
Random Ore Placement Generator	Places a random ore block (`c:ores`) above itself.
Raw Conversion Generator	Insert one raw material or ore as a catalyst (it is never consumed). It places the matching ore block above itself, for example Raw Iron gives Iron Ore. Diamond ore and Ancient Debris work too.

Condensers

Block	What it does
Primitive Water Condenser	Right-click with an empty bucket to get a water bucket. Turns dirt into mud, and dust blocks (from sieve mods like Ex Nihilo) into clay.
Primitive Lava Condenser	Right-click with an empty bucket to get a lava bucket.

Interfaces

Every machine has a vanilla-style interface that shows:

what it is producing, with live item icons;
a progress arrow and the production speed;
a status light (Idle, Running or Blocked) with the reason on hover, for example "Place an ore block on top of the generator."

Crafting

All recipes are shaped crafting recipes and show up in JEI / EMI.

Mod compatibility

Ores are detected with the c:ores tag (legacy forge:ores is also checked), so ores from other mods work automatically.
Raw materials and seeds use c:raw_materials and c:seeds.
Blacklist: add any block to the sky_resource_generators:banned_blocks block tag in a datapack to stop the generators from producing it.

FAQ

Is it required on the server? Yes, install it on both the client and the server.

Fabric / Forge / other versions? Only NeoForge 1.21.1 for now.

Can I use it in a modpack? Yes, go ahead.

Inspired by Simple Sky Resource Generators for Forge 1.20.1. Sky Resource Generators is a separate implementation written from scratch for NeoForge 1.21.1.
