Shattered Scales

Shattered Scales

In this world, dragons are not a looming threat—they are a buried myth. Erased from the skies ages ago by the ancient ancestors of the Villagers, they were hunted down by a bloodline fueled by an absolute, dogmatic hatred for the scaled beasts.

The Draco Lineage Born of magma and the sun, these fiery leviathans once ruled from the peaks of scorching mountains and erupting calderas. History, written by the victorious Villagers, claims the Draco struck first, forcing humanity to defend itself. But the shattered, fossilized bones buried deep within the earth whisper a very different, much darker truth.

The Vesper Lineage Creatures of frost and the abyssal Void. Witnessing the merciless, systematic slaughter of their fiery kin, they abandoned the Overworld. They fled into the deepest, darkest reaches of the Void, sealing themselves within a legendary sanctuary known only as “The Royal Nest”—a mythical haven where rumors suggest a handful of Draco survivors may have also found refuge.

The Scorching Zenith A cosmic anomaly where the sun hoards its astral might before violently releasing it in a blinding surge. Under this blazing sky, the Draco are infused with godlike power, while the Vesper scorch under the unforgiving rays.

The Blue Moon A supernatural freeze where the moon seemingly swallows the world, causing the earth itself to radiate a ghostly, independent glow. In this ethereal cold, the Vesper ascend into untouchable apex predators, while the Draco are paralyzed by the bitter frost.

The Ancient Truth Understanding these cosmic tides reveals a grim reality. The ancient Villagers did not simply overpower the Draco in a fair fight. They watched the heavens. They waited for the skies to betray their enemy, striking the sun-born dragons only when the bitter cold of the cosmos left them defenseless.
