Scorched Earth

Mod includes several tiers of firearms ranging from revolvers to early automatic rifles.

Firearms can be crafted out of Gunmetal, a new form of processed iron ingots. Gunmetal must first be crafted though a new material and block type Wrought Iron. Wrought iron can be made by crafting Iron with coal into a Slag Heap and smelting it into a Wrought Iron block. Wrought iron can be then processed into a variety of blocks and decorative items, along with being further blasted into Gunmetal. Two sets of armor are also available through Gunmetal crafting and Netherite upgrades. JEI is compatible and recommended.

All weapons are modeled in 3d and contain functioning magazines that can be manually reloaded with a new keybind (R by default). Among the the weapons, rifles, pistols and shotguns use their respective ammo types, and can be crafted from Iron, Copper and Gunpowder in varying amounts. The weapons are also accompanied by hitmarkers as well as the ability to ignore most mob’s standard invulnerability phases after taking damage. Both of these changes are to improve the feeling of fps weapons, without straying too far from the overall feel of Minecraft. The weapons are balanced against each other and the expected difficulty of most mod packs, but may be very powerful compared to vanilla content.

In it’s current state, the mod contains:

7 standard firearms

3 unique upgraded firearms

4 firearm enchantments 

3 ammo types

2 armor sets

1 new block/material type 

Improvments to the hud ammo display, along with animations are planned for future updates.
