Well, now you do.

Say It Right turns regular Minecraft survival into a voice-controlled language challenge. Pick up an item, pronounce its name in another language, and hope your microphone understands you.

With 22 supported languages, multiplayer support, customizable difficulty, and a fully animated interface, even getting your first wooden pickaxe can become a challenge.

Every new item can become a challenge.

When you pick something up, the mod temporarily holds it and asks you to pronounce its name in the selected language.

Say it correctly? The item is yours.

Get it wrong? Well… that depends on how forgiving your world settings are.

And don’t worry — if the microphone simply couldn’t understand you, you can try again without being punished.

One mistake can cost you.

Want a relaxed survival experience? Or something that makes you question your life choices?

Choose your difficulty:

• Casual — Learn at your own pace, without the pressure.
• Normal — Timed challenges with consequences.
• Hardcore — Make mistakes, lose hearts, and potentially die.

You can customize the rules to make the game as easy or as brutal as you want.

There are also three ways to handle item unlocks:

• Permanent — Unlock an item type once, keep it unlocked forever.
• Every Acquisition — Every new acquisition requires another challenge.
• Known While Held — Keep your knowledge while you still have the item.

Hardcore actually means Hardcore.

Yes, you can actually die because you couldn’t pronounce a word.

Good luck explaining that death to your friends.

Multiplayer? No problem!

Playing with friends? Everyone gets their own challenges and progression.

You can even see what other players are currently trying to pronounce through small, unobtrusive panels on your screen.

Watch your friend struggle with a simple item name while you’re casually mining diamonds.

The server keeps gameplay rules synchronized, so everyone plays under the same conditions.

German too easy? Try Japanese. Or Chinese. Or Russian.

Say It Right supports 22 languages, including:

Pick a language or enable Random Language Mode to get a different language for each challenge.

Optional pronunciation hints can help you read unfamiliar writing systems, including Japanese romaji and Chinese pinyin.

And yes, you can hide those hints if you want the full challenge.

No cloud. Just your voice.

Voice recognition runs locally on your computer using Vosk.

Your microphone audio isn’t sent to an online recognition service.

Need another language? Open the built-in Language Manager, choose what you want, and click Install.

The mod handles downloading, verifying, and installing the speech model for you.

No manual ZIP extraction required.

Language models are loaded according to available memory, so you don’t have to keep every language in RAM at once.

Does it work in multiplayer?

Yes! Everyone has their own item progression, and players can see each other’s active challenges.

Do I need an internet connection?

Only to download language models. Speech recognition works offline after installation.

Do I need to download every language?

No. Install only the languages you want. You can add or remove them anytime.

What happens if the mod doesn’t understand me?

Unclear speech doesn’t count as a wrong answer. You’ll be asked to try again.

Can I lose items permanently?

Yes, depending on your world’s difficulty and penalty settings. You can also choose more forgiving rules.

Does it judge how good my accent is?

No. The mod recognizes spoken item names, but it doesn’t grade pronunciation quality. Recognition accuracy may vary depending on your accent, microphone, and language.

Does my microphone audio get uploaded anywhere?

No. Speech recognition happens locally.

Can I change the difficulty?

Yes! Gameplay rules are managed through the in-game settings and synchronized by the server.

How do I open the settings?

Press K while playing.
