Saucy Buffs Delight (Some Assembly Required x Farmer’s Delight)

Originally created for the KatCraft modpack, Saucy Buffs Delight brings a new selection of flavorful sauces, ingredients, and kitchen storage options to Minecraft.

Designed to complement Farmer’s Delight and Some Assembly Required, this addon makes preparing food a little more rewarding — and a lot more saucy!

🥪 Sauces & Food Buffs

Discover 11 different sauces, each bringing its own flavor to your kitchen.

Note: Some sauces require additional ingredients, such as garlic or bell peppers, provided by optional mods like Veggies Delight. The full selection of 11 sauces is available only when the necessary ingredient-providing mods are installed.

Apply sauces to sandwiches made using the Sandwiching Station from Some Assembly Required to receive temporary buffs, turning an ordinary sandwich into something a little more useful for your next adventure!

🌶️ Available Sauces

A few things to know:

• Combining sauces with the same effect extends their duration and uses the stronger effect level.
• Strength combinations involving Chipotle Mayo are capped at 60 seconds. other Sauces are capped at 45 seconds.
• Mayonnaise extends the duration of another sauce effect, including Pepper Sauce and Garlic Aioli, up to 60 seconds.
• Sauce tooltips display their effects and remaining servings.
• Empty sauce containers return reusable glass bottles.

Note: Some sauces require ingredients such as garlic or bell peppers from optional mods like Veggies Delight. All 11 sauces are craftable only when the necessary ingredients are available.

• Additional wood support through optional Every Compat (Wood Good) integration.

🌱 Ingredients & Cooking

Grow your own chilli and mustard, discover their wild plants, and prepare sauces using Farmer’s Delight cooking recipes.

You can also prepare Smoked Chilli using a Smoker, Campfire, or Farmer’s Delight Stove.

Feeling chilly? 🌶️❄️

• Fresh Chilli immediately removes freezing.

• Smoked Chilli grants 15 seconds of Chilli Warmth, temporarily protecting against freezing, including Powder Snow and supported Ice Caves freezing effects.

• Chilli Warmth does not prevent ordinary damage or allow you to walk on Powder Snow.

Install the mod and its required dependencies on both client and server.

Optional

• Veggies Delight — Additional ingredients used in certain sauce recipes.
• Botany Pots — Grow chilli and mustard in pots.
• Every Compat (Wood Good) — Additional Sauce Rack variants using supported modded woods. Requires Moonlight.
• Ice Caves — Chilli Warmth protects against its supported freezing effect.
• Supported wood-adding mods — Additional wood variants through Every Compat.

Optional integrations are not required for the core mod to function. However, some sauce recipes need ingredients provided by other mods.

⚙️ Compatibility & Limitations

• Designed for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge.
• Works independently of the KatCraft modpack.
• Sauce buffs apply to Some Assembly Required sandwiches, not every food item.
• Sauce Racks are for storing and displaying containers, not consuming sauces directly.
• No Create dependency is required.
• Forge and Fabric versions are not currently available.
• Future versions of optional mods are not guaranteed to be compatible.

Concept, gameplay design, visual direction, in-game testing, and final decisions by Kataby.

The addon’s code, original artwork, and custom texture-generation scripts were developed with assistance from OpenAI’s ChatGPT/Codex, following my ideas, instructions, and iterative feedback.
