Roguelite Advancements
Advancement now give permanent player buffs. Health, Damage, Reach, Step Assist, Pick up radius and much more.
介绍
Gameplay
Every advancement you complete gives you 1 point. Press P at any time to open the buff screen and spend it: you are offered 3 random buffs, you pick one, and it is yours permanently. Collect points, stack buffs, and turn a normal survival run into a roguelite build.
The three offers are rolled by the server and stay the same until you pick one, so closing and reopening the screen will not give you new options. Buffs you have maxed out are never offered again, and buffs without a limit can keep stacking forever.
Advancements you completed before installing the mod are counted the first time you join, so existing worlds start with their points. Recipe unlocks are advancements too, but they don’t count — only the ones shown in the advancement screen do.
The buff screen
Each card shows the buff’s name, what one level does, your current level and the total bonus you will have after picking it. Unique buffs are marked ✦ UNIQUE ✦ and can only be taken once. Below the cards you can see every buff you already own and its level.
The screen does not pause the game, so pick quickly if something is chasing you.
Rerolls & Reroll Tokens
Don’t like the three options? Press Reroll to replace them. A reroll always prefers buffs you weren’t just shown.
Every player starts with 5 rerolls. To get more, explore: every chest you open for the first time (dungeons, temples, villages, shipwrecks, trial chambers, modded chests…) has a 1 in 5 chance to contain a Reroll Token. Right-click a token to turn it into one reroll. Tokens stack up to 16, so you can save them for later.
Buffs
There are 24 buffs. Max levels below are the defaults — every one of them can be changed in the config.
| Buff | Per level | Max level |
|---|---|---|
| Vitality | +1 maximum heart | No limit |
| Strength | +0.5 attack damage | No limit |

| Alchemist | Positive potion effects last 20% longer | 5 |
| Wisdom | +10% experience gained | 10 |
| Venom | Your hits poison enemies for 3 seconds | 5 |
| Withering Strike | Your hits wither enemies for 2 seconds | 5 |
| Lifesteal | Heal 5% of the damage you deal | 5 |
| Aegis | Out of combat, regain 0.5 absorption heart every 2 seconds while you have the Absorption effect | 4 |
| Second Wind | Out of combat, heal 0.5 heart every 5 seconds | 4 |
| Battle Calm | Leave combat 1 second sooner (5 seconds by default) | 5 |
Combat
You are in combat for 5 seconds after you hit, or are hit by, any mob or player. Every new hit restarts the timer. Aegis and Second Wind only work out of combat, and Battle Calm shortens the timer — at level 5 you leave combat instantly.
The on-hit buffs (Venom, Withering Strike, Lifesteal) work with melee and with projectiles like arrows. Thorns damage does not trigger them.
Vanilla removes the Absorption effect once your golden hearts reach zero, so Aegis can top up the hearts you still have, but it can’t bring them back after the effect is gone.

Config
Roguelite Advancements lets you cap every buff so the run suits your server or modpack. The file is config/rogueliteadvancements.toml and it is created the first time a world or server starts.
Every buff has one entry under [max_levels]:
-1 = no limit
0 = disabled (never offered)
any other number = the cap
For example, to stop reach from going above 3 and remove Venom entirely:
[max_levels]
reach = 3
venom = 0
If you lower a cap or disable a buff, players get the extra levels refunded as points the next time they join, so nobody loses progress.
