Magic woven into survival.

Rewoven expands vanilla survival with twelve schools of magic, mentor-led progression, elemental enemies, specialized equipment, discoverable lore, and protected land. Its systems build on familiar Minecraft materials, creatures, villages, particles, and movement, keeping the experience rooted in the world you already know.

Twelve schools, thirty-six spells

Learn twelve elemental traditions, each with its own colored tome, Woven Fragments, mentor curriculum, and three spell tiers:

• Fire: direct damage, projectiles, and controlled areas of heat.
• Ice: freezing, terrain interactions, and temporary prisons.
• Air: displacement, mobility, and crowd control.
• Lightning: rapid damage, chained strikes, and storm-powered attacks.
• Soul: temporary summons, empowered followers, and life drain.
• Ender: short blinks, return marks, and temporary linked rifts.
• Water: moving waves, temporary pools of still water, and powerful surges.
• Earth: ground fissures and animated Evoker fangs that erupt beneath enemies.
• Shadow: a breakable invisibility veil and ambush attacks.
• Nature: healing drawn from nearby vegetation, binding roots, and restorative groves.
• Light: protective absorption wards and damaging pillars of light.
• Crystal: bouncing shards, temporary traps, and crystal seeds detonated through spell combinations.

Harvest nearby leaves, flowers, and living bushes with Nature’s first spell to restore health and empower your next Grove. Its second spell roots ordinary grounded enemies for five seconds. Water and Earth attacks follow uneven ground, while area effects accommodate elevation differences of up to three blocks.

Souls are the resource used to cast. Spent charges recover sequentially, and individual spells have their own cooldowns. Higher-tier spells unlock stronger effects and powerful finishing attacks.

Tomes can be crafted from a Book and a matching Woven Fragment, but an uninitiated tome remains inactive until its mentor curriculum is started.

Learn from the world

Overworld settlements can develop an elemental affinity based on their surroundings. Each school has a mentor who guides you through a twelve-stage curriculum of gathering, elite hunts, tough targets, and horde trials.

Progression is persistent per player. Completing the first major trial unlocks Tome II; finishing the full curriculum unlocks Tome III. Crafted replacement tomes synchronize to the highest level that player has earned.

Press H to open the Weave Book, your journal for active mentor objectives, school mastery, discovered equipment, collected manuscripts, and a bilingual guide to all thirty-six spells. Click its tabs to switch sections and use the mouse wheel to browse pages.

Hold Alt to open the spell radial for your equipped tome, or use Alt + 1/2/3 for quick selection. Controls can be changed in Minecraft’s key settings.

Elemental enemies that can be answered

Natural hostile mobs can become resonant with any of the twelve schools. Species, biome, weather, and dimension influence the result without locking a creature to a single affinity.

Resonant enemies appear as Elite, Champion, Arcane, or Mythic variants. They carry themed equipment, use elemental abilities, and drop Woven Fragments or weighted rewards.

Their spells are visibly telegraphed: attack, shoot, or block at the right moment to interrupt the cast and stun the enemy.

Mentor trials eventually lead to bounded nighttime hordes with multiple waves and ranked minibosses. Leave the arena for too long and the trial fails cleanly rather than abandoning enemies in the world.

Equipment that changes how survival feels

Rewoven contains 97 items, including weapons, armor pieces, charms, tools, tomes, scrolls, and brews. Examples include:

• fly through open air with the Tempest Trident, now aligned with Water;
• swim through lava with Ember Boots;
• launch yourself without rain using the Gale Pike;
• mine a controlled 3×3 face with the Tunnel Pickaxe;
• fell connected logs with the Lumberjack Axe;
• direct mined drops into your inventory with the Ender Pick;
• place rows or columns from a Builder’s Box with the Builder’s Brush;
• survive a fatal hit with a reusable, long-dormancy Phoenix Charm.

The six newer schools also introduce their own starter equipment:

• Water — Tide Blade: a diamond-based sword.
• Earth — Fault Mace: a mace with familiar vanilla combat.
• Shadow — Umbral Blade: an iron-based sword.
• Nature — Grove Bow: a bow with standard bow mechanics.
• Light — Dawn Blade: a gold-based sword.
• Crystal — Amethyst Pickaxe: a diamond-based pickaxe.

These starter items retain their vanilla counterparts’ statistics, durability, enchantability, and actions while joining Rewoven’s elemental equipment system. Craft them from their base item and a matching Woven Fragment, or obtain them through mentors and exploration.

School-specific charms, craftable horde scrolls, eight Rewoven enchantments, and five brews extend the same systems.

Villages, lore, and protected land

Mentors and elementally attuned villagers live in Overworld settlements. Their additions are deliberately small: study corners, subtle particles, profession-based trades, and limited contextual decoration. Rewoven does not add its own large worldgen structures.

The twelve traditions bring their own learning paths, material requests, and themed rewards. Newly discovered villages can adopt the newer schools, while existing villagers retain their saved affinities.

Field notes, correspondence, workshop records, and traveler journals appear in familiar loot locations. Discover 74 written documents, including learning notebooks for the six newer schools. Read discoveries in hand or from a lectern, then revisit them in the Weave Book.

Rewoven works in single-player. For multiplayer, every connecting player and the server need compatible matching versions.

Optional compatibility

Terralith, Incendium, Nullscape, and Structory are optional. Rewoven recognizes relevant environments from those mods where possible; none is required.

Support and reporting

When reporting a problem, include the Rewoven version, Minecraft version, mod loader and its version, Fabric API version if applicable, relevant logs, and whether the issue occurs in a new test world.
