Reclaim the Village

The pillagers got there first.

About a third of new villages spawn under occupation. Villagers sit in cages around the Captain’s camp, raider banners hang from the houses, and only the garrison walks the streets. It’s your job to take the village back.

Don’t get spotted

Sentries with goat horns watch the entrances. When one sees you, you have about two seconds. If you’re too slow, a red flare goes up and the whole garrison comes down the streets for you.

At night the camp dozes by the fire, so sneaking in really works. The Captain and the Commander fight behind real shields. Bring an axe.

Get the people out

The Captain carries the Garrison Key. You can hack through the bars instead, but every clang carries, and the captives won’t make a run for it while a guard is watching. The ones who do run get hunted.

The iron golem is chained in a cage of its own. Set it free and it fights on your side.

Ring the bell

Once the streets are clear, ring the bell in the square. What happens next depends on whether the outpost is still standing.

Follow the banners

A trail of raider banners leads from every occupied village to the outpost that holds it. At the top of the tower the Commander guards a war standard and a locked chest. Inside that chest is a reason to keep going.

Vanilla blocks and mobs, one new item, modest loot.

Only villages generated after you install the mod get occupied. Occupation chance, garrison size, the counterattack and more can be tuned in the server config.

This is a beta: the whole loop is in place, but expect the occasional rough edge.
