Randy

Ever feel like there aren’t enough silly bosses in Minecraft? This mod should help at least a little bit with that with a new randomly encountered boss who calls himself Randy. Who is he? Where did he come from? No idea, have fun fighting him!

The Randy Fight:

• Randy’s main form of attack is chasing after the player and dealing contact damage.
• Randy has 50 health that is broken up into 2 stages.
• The first stage consist of Randy teleporting away when hit, leaving a dangerous explosion in his wake (doesn’t break blocks).
• In his second stage, Randy abandons his teleportation strategy and goes full berserk mode. He will become much stronger and faster once he gets below 20 health.

Randy’s Rewards:

• The player who kills Randy will be provided with the Luck effect for 10 minutes, making Luck no longer exclusive to creative mode.
• Upon defeat, Randy will have 3 different possible drops: the first is a guarenteed drop of 1-4 ender pearls, the second is another guarenteed drop of 4-7 of a new type of food called Randy’s Meat, the third is an extremely rare (2%) chance to drop a new sword that can insta-kill basically everything.
• Randy’s Meat is pretty filling on its own, but it can be cooked to become the best piece of meat in the game, basically a less overpowered, more accessible Enchanted Golden Apple.

Notes:

• This is more of a joke mod that I am using to teach myself more about making mods, so it is not very good. I was able to get everything (mostly) working as intended, but it is a little bit janky and I wouldn’t go in expecting there to not be any bugs.
• This is the first mob I’ve made, so it is not very good looking. I’m warning you now that it does not fit in with the game at all and isn’t fully animated (working on that part).
• Due to his drops being pretty powerful and possibly yielding a sword that will just win the game for you, I’ve made Randy a pretty rare encounter. He’s little bit more common than a witch and spawns in any biome at night. Of course you can also just use his spawn egg in creative mode if you really are that excited to see him.
