Vanilla rain is just a texture falling from the sky. Rainworks makes the whole world react to it: the ground gets wet, windows run with water, the air fills with mist, and your wooden builds need protecting. Atmospheric enough for screenshots, meaningful enough for survival. ☔

🌫️ Atmosphere you can feel
–  Rain fog rolls in with the storm. Pick the color and visibility, and it thins out in the mountains.
– Mist and steam rise from stone, metal, lava and campfires when the rain hits them. 🔥

💧 A world that gets wet
– Real puddles fill up as the storm goes on and dry slowly in the sun. ☀️
– A ripple for every drop on water and puddles.
– Grass turns to mud in a downpour and greens up again when the sun returns. 🌱
– Splashing steps when you walk through puddles.

🪟 Rain on your windows
– Drops slide down the glass, merge together and leave glistening trails.
– Windows fog up next to fire, lava and torches. Wipe them clean with your bare hand! 🧼
– Lens-like droplets on your own screen bend the picture like real water on a camera.

🔊 Sound you can get lost in
– Rain sounds different on metal, wood, glass and stone, so every roof has its own voice. 🎧
– Muffled, deeper rain indoors, crisp and open outside.
– Lazy drips from leaves and rooftops long after the clouds have passed.

🛠️ Survival that fits the rain
Rainwater isn’t just decoration. Collect it, filter it, and protect what you build.

– 🚰 Downpipes carry rainwater from your roof, and water filters make it safe to drink. Dirty water can make you sick!
– 🕯️ Wax and resin pencils protect your wooden builds. Unwaxed planks left in the rain will slowly rot away.
– 🪟 Waxed windows never fog up.
– 🛖 Soundproofing panels for a quiet, cozy cabin when the storm rages outside.

⚙️ Make it yours
All visual settings are right in the game: Mods → Rainworks → Config 🎛️
Tune the fog, puddles, ripples, soil, screen drops and volume to your taste or your hardware. Changes apply instantly.

🤝 Multiplayer
All visuals and sounds run on your own client, so you can enjoy the atmosphere on any server. 🌍
For pencils and plank rot to work, the mod must be installed on the server as well.

📦 Installation
1. Install Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.3+
2. Drop the `.jar` into your `mods` folder
3. Launch the game and wait for the rain 🌦️
