Prepare for Trouble (Cobblemon)

Information

‘Prepare for Trouble’ is a Cobblemon sidemod that adds Team Rocket! Grunt balloons will appear at random over players during the day and follow them until they’re battled. Only the player the balloon came for can battle it. Team Rocket’s Pokémon scale to your party, and after every win you’ll get loot and a chance to catch the Pokémon they left behind.

To summon a Leader, collect Deciphered Rocket Orders from Grunts and put 4 together in a Crafting Table to make Decoded Team Rocket Orders. Use them to call in a Leader’s balloon. Each Leader drops their own insignia, and crafting 3 different insignias (Rook, Talon & Vesper) with a Book and Quill creates a Boss Summons, which summons the Team Rocket Boss, Giovanni.

The use of AI generated code was used in this project. While this project was not entirely made with AI generative code, portions of the code were generated using AI along with AI checks for bugs.

Configuration Options

spawning.enabled | Turns random Grunt balloons on or off. (Default: true)

spawning.minDays | Fewest Minecraft days between a player’s Grunt balloons. (Default: 1)

spawning.maxDays | Most Minecraft days between a player’s Grunt balloons. (Default: 2)

spawning.daytimeOnly | Grunt balloons only appear during the day. (Default: true)

crews.json

skill | How smart they battle, from 1 to 5. (Default: Grunt 3, Leaders 4, Boss 5)

levels | Each Pokémon’s level, as a multiple of your party’s average level. (Default: Grunt 0.5/0.75/0.9, Leaders 1/1.1/1.25, Boss 1.25/1.5/1.75)

catchSlot | Which party slot is left behind to be caught after a win. (Default: 1)

loot.json – set for Grunts, Leaders and the Boss

rolls | How many items are rolled after a win. (Default: Grunt 2, Leaders 3, Boss 4)

bands | Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary: the items in each, and how often each band comes up.

bonus | Extra items rolled on top, each with its own percent chance.

/pft spawn <player> [grunt [type] | leader [name] | boss] | Sends a Team Rocket balloon to a player. *
/pft timer <player> [now] | Shows when a player’s next Grunt balloon is due, or makes it due now. *
/pft list | Lists every loaded Team Rocket balloon. *
/pft clear [player] | Removes all Team Rocket balloons, or one player’s. *
/pft simwin <grunt | leader | boss> [player] | Pays out a win as if that crew was just beaten. *
/pft reload | Reloads the config, crews, loot tables and messages. *
