PMweather Aeronautics compat

Now supports Immersive Vehicles

Immersive Vehicles support was introduced in 1.0 through the separate PMWeather-IV (PMIV) addon. Both mods share the live wind HUD and weather test.

PMWeather Aeronautics brings PMWeather wind to Sable structures, including Create: Aeronautics vehicles. Aeronautics remains its original focus, and PMAero can be used without PMIV.

Requirements

• ProtoManly’s Weather 0.16.4 or 0.17.x.
• Sable 2.x, starting at 2.0.0.

Create: Aeronautics, Offroad and PMIV are optional. PMIV 0.12.1 uses PMAero 1.1 for this expanded compatibility range.

Features

• Wind pushes and rotates exposed structures, with tornado updrafts and downdrafts.
• Strong wind can overcome supported wheel and track grip while preserving normal handling below the breakaway threshold.
• Unpowered Offroad wheels rotate according to rolling motion rather than sideways skidding.
• PMIV custom particles drift in the wind. PMWeather continues to handle its own vanilla and Aeronautics particles.
• Duplicate Sable wind forces are prevented by default on PMWeather 0.17.x without editing its config.

Wheel support includes Offroad 1.3.0 and 1.3.2, Create Tracks 1.0.1, and Aeronautics No Horizon 1.0.3. Body wind influence defaults to 0.1 and can be adjusted in PMAero’s config.

Wind display and weather test

• /pmaero wind: show one wind reading.
• /pmaero live on and /pmaero live off: show or hide the wind HUD.
• /pmaero test start and /pmaero test stress: start a weather sequence.
• /pmaero test status, /pmaero test next, /pmaero test stop and /pmaero test list: inspect or control the test.

The flight sequence lasts four minutes. Tests are capped at five minutes and require operator permission. See the full command list and weather-test video.
