PandAce Classes

A data-driven class and leveling system made for the Planet PandAce modpack, and usable in any Forge 1.20.1 pack.

How it works

• Press J to open the class book and choose one of 22 classes (warriors, mages, rogues, rangers, crafters and more).
• Level from 1 to 50. The curve is steep: about 714,000 XP in total, so reaching max level is a real long-term goal.
• Earn class XP by killing mobs, mining ores, farming, fishing, breeding, taming, smelting, crafting and building. Each source has a per-minute cap; spawner and mob-farm kills give much less.
• Dying costs 10% of your progress toward the next level.

Rewards

• Small permanent attribute bonuses that grow with level (balanced on a fixed power budget, so no class is overpowered).
• Permanent effects, perks, gifts, ranks and a mastery reward at milestone levels.
• Advancements for choosing a class and for reaching levels 5, 10, 25 and 50.
• A hidden Rat God class, unlocked by holding the Ring of the Rat God from Rats and magic.

Harder bosses

• Minibosses, bosses and “tyrant” bosses get large health, armor and damage multipliers and a per-hit damage cap, so they cannot be one-shot.
• Bosses enrage after 4 and 8 minutes, summon adds at 50% and 25% health, and regenerate if you leave the fight.
• Normal hostile mobs are also tougher (more health, armor, speed and damage).
• Boss tiers are set with entity tags (pandace_classes:miniboss, boss, tyrant, not_a_boss), so packs can customise them with a datapack.

Commands

/pdclass, /pdclass choose, and for operators xp, setlevel, unlock, reset.

Forge 1.20.1. Curios is optional. Required on both client and server.
