Only One Heart

Only One Heart is a lightweight Fabric challenge mod for Minecraft Java Edition 26.2.

It limits the player to one heart by default, with an optional half-heart mode. The remaining heart stays still instead of constantly shaking at low health. The mod can also be turned off without removing it.

Mod Menu is optional. All modes can also be selected using commands.

Health interactions

The mod limits the player’s base maximum health.

Absorption hearts from golden apples remain available. Health Boost and other temporary max-health modifiers can add health above the selected base limit.

Turning the mod off restores the normal ten-heart maximum. It does not automatically heal missing health.

• Mod Menu 20.0.1 or newer is optional

Testing status

Extensively tested in singleplayer.
Dedicated multiplayer servers have not been tested yet.
