OneLevelRepair

OneLevelRepair is a simple quality-of-life Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that makes anvil repairs much cheaper and more predictable.

When repairing a damaged item with a valid repair material, the repair will:

Cost only 1 XP level
Consume only 1 repair material
Restore the item to full durability
Ignore the item’s existing enchantments when determining repair cost

This makes maintaining enchanted tools, weapons, and armor much easier without changing how normal repair materials work.

Minecraft Forge 47.4.x
Java 17

Dependencies

None. OneLevelRepair is completely standalone.

Servers

This is a server-side mod and does not need to be installed on any of the client’s installations.

Known Issues

Sometimes the XP cost is higher than anticpated. I suspect that if you put more than one repair material in, it increases the cost. Unconfirmed at the moment.
