Oblivion Blockform gives builders smaller block pieces, sideways stairs, and the ability to combine different materials inside a single Minecraft block space.

Use it to add wooden trim to a stone wall, build furniture with smaller details, create layered floors, or fill the gap in a sideways stair with another material.

Understanding the Pieces

Blockform includes four building shapes:

Quarter Slabs are the small cubes. Their name means ¼ of a normal Minecraft slab, which is ⅛ of a full block. Four fill a normal slab’s space; eight fill a full block’s space, with four in the bottom half and four in the top half. Each cube can use a different supported material.

A vertical Quarter Block is the same size as two Quarter Slabs stacked on top of each other. Four vertical Quarter Blocks fit side by side to fill a full block.

Quarter-Height Slabs instead divide the block into horizontal layers. Stack four to fill a full block, using a different material for each layer if you like.

Mix Materials in One Block Space

Combine supported shapes and materials wherever the pieces fit without overlapping. You could build:

• A slab-sized layer made from four different small cubes.

• A wooden beam with stone pieces beside it.

• A block with four horizontal layers of different materials.

• An Oak Sideways Stair with a Stone Quarter Block filling its missing quarter.

When you completely fill a block space with the same material, it becomes the matching vanilla full block.

Crafting and Survival

The building pieces have Survival crafting recipes. The basic conversions are:

To make the small cubes, start with a supported full block, craft it into four Quarter Blocks, then convert those into eight Quarter Slabs.

Reverse recipes let you recombine matching pieces into larger forms. Sideways Stairs can also be crafted back into their vanilla stair counterparts.

Normal mining follows the material’s tool rules: axes work faster on wood, while materials such as stone and copper require a suitable pickaxe to drop their pieces. Mining a combined block breaks all its pieces together, at the speed of the slowest piece for your held tool, and only drops pieces that tool can harvest.

To remove just one piece, sneak and right-click it with an empty hand.

Materials and Other Features

Choose from supported vanilla materials including wood types, stone, bricks, deepslate, blackstone, tuff, sandstone, quartz, Nether materials, purpur, copper variants, glass, Oak Logs, and Stripped Oak Logs. Available shapes depend on the material.

• Copper features: Applicable copper pieces support oxidation, honeycomb waxing, and axe scraping or unwaxing.

• Waterlogging: Supported pieces can share their block space with water.

• Dedicated Creative tab: Browse the building pieces in the Oblivion Blockform tab.

Version and Compatibility

Oblivion Blockform 0.5.2 Beta is for Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. For multiplayer, install the same mod version on the server and participating clients.

The mod is in Beta, so features and behavior may change as development continues.
