Not All Sunshine

[NOTE: THIS MOD WILL BE SUBJECT TO UPDATES]

A combat visual overhaul for Minecraft Fabric. Makes fights feel visceral with blood decals, screen shake, hitmarkers, battle music, and more. All fully configurable.

Features:

Blood & Gore:

Tiered blood decals on damaged entities (5 damage tiers)

Blood pool and trail particles on the ground

Blood splatter on hit, and particles that fly off of the mob.

Gib particles on kill

Gore shower effect on critical hits

Configurable. Toggle gore off from the configuration settings.

Combat Feedback:

Hitmarkers, a crosshair indicator on every hit, with a unique kill marker

Camera shake, directional punch on melee, recoil on ranged weapons, (screen also shakes the closer a ravager gets!)

Kill burst, a screen flash and particle explosion on kill

Combo streaks, you can chain hits for bonus XP, with on-screen combo counter

Directional damage indicator, shows which direction attacks come from

Battle Music:

Dynamic battle music that plays during combat

Custom raid music (other boss music to be added later)

Music fades in/out based on enemy proximity and aggro count. Battle music will play if four or more mobs are targetting you and will stop when escaped, or all targetting mobs defeated.

Beat-synced UI bounce effect on hearts and hunger bar

Explosion Effects:

Custom explosion particles (fire, smoke, shockwave, debris, embers, dust)

Camera shake from nearby explosions

HUD:

Dynamic HUD hiding, hotbar and XP bar slide away when idle, reappear when used

Block discovery panel at the top of the screen, shows block name, mod, and required tool

Block discovery toasts when new blocks are learned

All features can be toggled in-game via the config screen (bound to a keybind) or through the "Not All Sunshine" button on the title screen. Every toggle takes effect immediately — no restart needed.
