Nobody — Chat Client

A client-side Fabric mod that turns the Minecraft chat into draggable windows with tabs, rules, profiles and themes.

Windows and tabs

• Draggable, resizable chat windows, each with its own tabs
• Tab rules: sort messages by words, highlight them, play a sound or hide them
• Up to 16384 messages kept per tab
• Repeated message counter
• Unread counters on tabs, tabs with a mention are highlighted

Alerts

• Mentions: messages containing your name are highlighted and play a separate sound, with extra words and a highlight color of your choice
• Do not disturb mode: mutes sounds and highlights
• Ignore list: hide messages from chosen players or containing chosen words, with an optional “message hidden” placeholder
• Pinned message: pin any message from the right-click menu, it stays in a strip under the tabs
• Chat history: messages are kept between sessions (last 1000 entries), can be turned off

Looks and themes

• Built-in themes, including a redesigned Light theme
• Full colour control: HEX colours, background colour and opacity of the chat windows
• Live preview while you change settings
• Optional menu text shadow
• Timestamps with your own format, full date on hover
• Player heads next to messages, also on servers that don’t tell the client who sent a message
• Player summary tooltip when you hover a nickname

Profiles

• Chat profiles: windows, tabs and chat options
• Color profiles: menu theme and colors
• Switch them independently, share them with a code, bind chat profiles to specific servers or use one for everything

Extras

• Search through chat (plain text or regex)
• Right-click menu on messages: copy, copy with colours, reply, pin
• Clickable links and commands inside the chat windows
• Up and Down arrows recall the messages you sent
• The chat scrolls to the bottom automatically when you close it
• English and Russian interface

Press Right Shift (changeable in settings) or use /nbdchat to open the menu.

Requirements: Fabric Loader and Fabric API. Java 21 for 1.21.x, Java 25 for 26.x. Client-side only, do not install it on a server.
