MxSoul

Death is not the end, as long as your team has your soul.

MxSoul is a team PvP mod for events and hardcore rounds with friends. When you die, you are out of the game and leave behind a grave with your inventory and your soul. Only your team can bring you back, and the enemy can steal your soul first.

Available for Forge, Fabric and NeoForge.

How it works

1. Death: you are out for a set time (default 30 minutes).
2. Grave: a grave appears with your whole inventory and your soul.
3. Soul: a teammate opens the grave and takes your soul.
4. Revive: right-click the statue at the team home with your soul, or use a defibrillator on the spot.

Blocks and items

• Soul: one per player. It cannot be hidden in chests, shulkers, bundles or item frames, and dropping it turns it back into a grave. Carrying an enemy soul makes you glow.
• Grave: has its own inventory screen with a highlighted soul slot and an “All” button that takes everything.
• Revive statue: a two-block statue placed at your team home.
• Defibrillator: right-click a grave with a teammate’s soul, or shift-right-click with the soul in your inventory. Only works shortly after death (default 5 minutes). Recipe: Totem of Undying surrounded by 8 diamonds. JEI shows the recipe.

Teams and PvP

• Up to 16 teams, each with its own color in chat, the tab list and above player heads.
• Team home with teleport (/home), team chat (/tm) and soul tracking (/team find).
• Combat tag: logging out in combat kills you.
• Danger: no teleport home while an enemy is nearby.
• Enemy team homes slow you down, ender chests are disabled.
• Trades (/trade): swap dead players with another team and both sides get revived.
• Dead players are kicked, wait in a lobby or spectate near their grave (configurable).

The included resource pack is installed automatically and shows souls and graves in their team color. Just enable it in the resource pack menu.

For admins

• Admin GUI (/admin gui) to start and stop the game, manage players and teams, ban items and change every setting.
• All options live in config/mxsoul-common.toml and apply instantly.
• Statistics with /stats: revives, deaths and souls found.
• Messages and menus follow each player’s language (English and German included).
