Farmer’s Delight and countless food add-ons give Minecraft an enormous collection of dishes. Even with JEI, learning every recipe and processing chain becomes a chore, so most players settle on one efficient meal and ignore the rest of the food their modpack offers.

Mom’s kitchen removes that busywork. Build a welcoming kitchen, stock its Ingredient Pantry, and Mom works out what she can make. She carries real ingredients between the pantry, cutting board, crafting table, smoker, stove and cooking pot, and puts finished meals in the Serving Cabinet — always trying something you haven’t eaten in a while.

1. Place the blueprint — a full walk-through preview shows exactly what will be built.

2. Build it — pick a design, rotate it, confirm, and a furnished kitchen appears with Mom inside.

3. Stock the pantry — put in real ingredients; Mom decides what she can make.

4. Watch her cook — chopping at the cutting board, heating on the stove, simmering in the cooking pot.

5. Collect the food — finished dishes are delivered to the Serving Cabinet.

How it works

• Craft a Mom’s kitchen Blueprint and place a full, walk-through preview of the house.
• Pick one of four hand-built kitchens, rotate it, check the preview, then build it as a separate step.
• Or build any structure you like and assemble your own kitchen from the individually craftable blocks.
• Put real ingredients in the pantry. Water, knives, sticks and bowls are Mom’s own supplies.
• Mom prepares intermediate ingredients first — chopped produce, dough, sauces, cooked components — then the finished dish.
• Every step happens at the matching physical workstation, in order, where you can watch it.
• Collect finished dishes from the Serving Cabinet.

The four kitchens

• The Hearthside Cottage — pale plaster and spruce framing, slate gable roof, braced porch, masonry hearth and a warm dining nook.
• Rosebrick Garden Kitchen — brick and pale stone, dark mansard roof with dormers, striped awning and patio flower beds.
• Copper Conservatory — weathered copper roof with a glass lantern over an open light well, pergola and herb dresser.
• Sunlit Modern Kitchen — split-height white roof, clerestory glazing, birch slats and a rooftop planter.

Each one has cabinets, a tiled backsplash, herb and jar shelves, a hood, a prep island, pendant lights and a dining table. The blueprint needs a 17×17 area and 13 blocks of height.

Building your own kitchen

The blueprint is optional. Place these four blocks near one another:

1. Kitchen Bell — right-click it and choose Call Mom (or Let Mom Rest).
2. Chef’s Menu Board — Default / Blacklist / Whitelist selection and minimum hunger.
3. Ingredient Pantry — the real ingredients Mom may use.
4. Serving Cabinet — receives finished dishes.

Keep the bell, pantry and cabinet within 12 blocks horizontally and 4 blocks vertically of the menu board. The nearest compatible blocks link automatically under a unique kitchen ID, so neighbouring kitchens never share Moms or inventories.

Add the workstations your recipes need:

• Crafting Table for shaped and shapeless crafting
• Furnace, Smoker or Farmer’s Delight Stove for heating and smoking
• Farmer’s Delight Cutting Board for chopping recipes
• Farmer’s Delight Cooking Pot for pot recipes

A recipe that needs a workstation the kitchen doesn’t have is skipped rather than faked somewhere else.

Variety, menus and filters

Mom keeps a persistent record of what she has cooked and favours the dishes made least often, choosing randomly among suitable candidates, so a well-stocked pantry turns into as many different meals as possible.

The Menu Board offers:

• Default, Blacklist and Whitelist modes
• A searchable list of every food found in loaded recipes, with @modname and food-effect search
• A minimum-hunger filter from 0 to 10 bars in half-bar steps (default 3.5 bars) for Default and Blacklist; Whitelist is your explicit choice and ignores it
• Intermediate ingredients are never blocked by the filters when an allowed dish needs them
• Plain one-ingredient grilling is left out of Default and Blacklist output

Compatibility

Mom’s kitchen reads the live recipe registry, so standard crafting, furnace, smoker and campfire food recipes from other mods are discovered automatically. Farmer’s Delight cutting-board, cooking-pot and dough recipes are supported without a hard dependency.

Only processes the kitchen can really perform are used. Fermentation, aging, drying, milling, pressing, Create mixing and other machine or timed recipes are never turned into instant crafting.

• Farmer’s Delight is optional but recommended (on Fabric: Farmer’s Delight Refabricated).
• Create (wrench pickup of the kitchen blocks) and JEI (recipe hotkeys in the menu) are optional.
• For multiplayer, install the file for your loader on both the client and the server.

Other features

• Mom is invulnerable, has normal villager health, never opens a trading screen and stays inside her kitchen
• Two-step blueprint demolition removes a generated house and its Mom without touching blocks you added later
• Stored and in-progress ingredients are returned safely when work is cancelled or a house is removed
• Korean and English, including an in-menu quick guide

Development disclosure

This project was made with AI-assisted coding (often called vibe coding), followed by repeated in-game testing, debugging and review of the release files. Mom’s texture and the project icon were made with AI image generation and then mapped onto a hand-written model.
