The Rotting Moon

This mod adds the “Rotting Moon” to your blocky world—a second satellite that exists alongside the standard Moon but features completely different mechanics.

Its cycle begins at the new moon; as it waxes toward the full moon, hostile mobs gain increasingly powerful buffs, becoming ever more lethal and dangerous.

 Additionally, during the fourth phase, a green vignette appears on the player’s screen, and a thunderstorm begins in the world.

After the full moon, it wanes, returning to the new moon phase.

The entire cycle lasts seven days—just like the vanilla Moon’s—but proceeds in reverse order.

The mod offers flexible configuration; currently, you can modify:
- effects applied to mobs (you can use effects from other mods using the "modid:effect" format)
- the level of effects applied to hostile mobs
- the option to enable or disable the green vignette
- the option to enable or disable thunderstorms/rain
Future Plans
- Add the ability to change the color of the moon and the vignette
- Expand mob mechanics (more options for customization and increasing mob difficulty)
- New celestial objects + new events during different moon phases
