Mekanism Combining Factory Slot Addon

Two new Mekanism upgrades: give every process of your Combining Factory its own secondary input slot, or push your secondary slots’ stack limit all the way to x256.

In vanilla Mekanism, a fusion (Combining) factory has one yellow secondary input slot shared by all of its processes. As soon as you run several different recipes side by side, they fight over that single slot — the wrong ingredient lands in the wrong process, and the machine silently stalls. This addon splits that shared slot into one independent secondary input slot per process, and adds a second upgrade that scales secondary slots’ capacity instead.

Combining Slot Upgrade

Injects a new COMBINING_SLOTS upgrade into Mekanism’s upgrade enum (yellow tier, max 1 per machine).

• Replaces the single machine-wide yellow slot with one independent secondary input slot per process:
  Basic 3 / Advanced 5 / Elite 7 / Ultimate 9 processes.
• Every process does its own recipe lookup, cache validation and even-distribution sorting, so
  changing one recipe never disturbs the others.
• Install it from the upgrade GUI, or sneak + right-click the machine while holding the item.
• Fully removable; the upgrade state is stored with the block entity, so it survives restarts and chunk reloads.

Extra Stack Upgrade

Injects a new EXTRA_STACK upgrade into Mekanism’s upgrade enum (max 8).

• Each level doubles the secondary input slot’s stack limit — x2 up to x256.
• Also works on the CNC Stamper, Stamping Factory, Presser and Pressing Factory families
  (both the Mekanism:More Machine and Mekanism Extra implementations, every tier).
• Shift + right-click a machine to install the whole held stack at once; anything that does not
  fit stays in your hand.
• Mutually exclusive with the Combining Slot Upgrade — you pick one or the other.

Supported machines

The extra input row is hidden until the upgrade is installed, and the GUI grows to fit it — so an
un-upgraded machine looks exactly like vanilla.

Compatibility

Every one of these is optional. The addon ships separate Mixin configurations per target and
skips them automatically when the mod is absent, so a plain Mekanism install works fine.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1
• NeoForge 21.1.194 or newer
• Mekanism 1.21.1-10.7.19 or newer (required)
• Environment: client and server

Optional (each adds more supported machines): Mekanism Extra, Mekanism:More Machine, Mek Energistics, Jade.
Add these through the dependency picker in the submission form — searching by name is more reliable than a hard-coded link.

Installation

Drop mekaddon-1.1.0+1.21.1.jar into your mods folder. No config file, no extra setup.

FAQ

Does removing the upgrade destroy the items in the extra slots?
No. The slots stay in the machine’s inventory; they simply stop being displayed and refuse new
insertions until you re-install the upgrade.

Why can’t I install both upgrades at once?
They solve the same problem in opposite directions — one gives each process its own slot, the other
makes the shared slot hold more. The upgrade window refuses the second one.

Does it work in an existing world?
Yes. Everything is stored with the block entity; existing machines just get the new row when you
install the upgrade. As with any mod, keep a backup before adding it to a long-running world.

Fixed

• The extra secondary-input row now actually reaches the machine menu (appended at the
  ConfigHolder#getSlots(null, ...) layer) and is gated to item-slot holders only — previously the
  slots leaked into the energy container list, which made machines unopenable after installing
  the upgrade.
• Even distribution now covers the extra row on both Mekanism factories and Mekanism Extra factories;
  row-slot listeners are wrapped with markAllMonitorsChanged.
• The Mekanism Extra pressing factory’s own two yellow input slots are usable again.
• MekaJadeUpgrades compatibility: Jade shows real upgrade icons instead of the barrier item.
• The upgraded GUI shifts its content down (including Mek Energistics replacement screens), so the
  inventory no longer covers the output row.

手持一组 Shift + 右键可一次装完，装不下的留在手上。两个升级互斥。

支持的机器见上表；Mekanism Extra、Mekanism:More Machine、Mek Energistics、Jade 均为可选依赖，缺失时会自动跳过对应适配。

安装：把 mekaddon-1.1.0+1.21.1.jar 放进 mods 目录即可。
