MaLiLib IME

An unofficial add-on for MaLiLib-based mods (Litematica, MiniHUD, Tweakeroo, etc.) that makes IME input work in their text fields.
Not affiliated with masa or the MaLiLib / Litematica projects.

What it fixes

Since Minecraft 26.1, vanilla supports IME input (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc.) in text fields such as chat. However, this does not work properly in the custom screens of MaLiLib-based mods, which causes problems like:

• The IME does not switch to Japanese mode when you click a text field
• The IME switches, but the text being composed is not shown until you confirm it

With MaLiLib IME installed, you can type in MaLiLib text fields just like in the vanilla chat. The text being composed appears under the text field, in front of buttons and other widgets.

Features

• No configuration needed. Just put it in your mods folder
• Works with any mod built on MaLiLib (Litematica, MiniHUD, Tweakeroo, Item Scroller, etc.)
• One jar supports both Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3
• Does not change the behavior of vanilla text fields
• Client-side only. Not needed on servers
• No build dependency on MaLiLib, so it should keep working across MaLiLib updates

Requirements

• Minecraft 26.2 / 26.3
• Fabric Loader 0.18.0 or later
• MaLiLib (and the MaLiLib-based mods you use)
• Fabric API is not required

Tested with

• Windows
• 26.3: Litematica 0.29.0 / MaLiLib 0.30.1 / MiniHUD 0.41.1
• 26.2: Litematica 0.28.7 / MaLiLib 0.29.6 / MiniHUD 0.40.7

Only tested with the Japanese Microsoft IME. Other IMEs (Chinese, Korean, etc.) should work in the same way, but are untested. macOS is untested. On Linux, vanilla does not show the IME overlay yet, so this mod has no effect there.

Using it together with other IME mods such as CocoaInput or IMBlocker is untested.

masa 氏および MaLiLib / Litematica の公式プロジェクトとは関係ありません。

解決する問題

Minecraft 26.1 以降、バニラではチャット欄などで日本語入力(IME)に対応しました。しかし、MaLiLib 系 MOD の独自画面ではこの仕組みがうまく働かず、次のような状態になります。

• 入力欄をクリックしても、日本語モードに切り替わらない
• 日本語モードにはなるが、変換中の文字が表示されず、確定するまで何を打っているか分からない

MaLiLib IME を入れると、MaLiLib 系 MOD の入力欄でも、チャット欄と同じように日本語を入力できるようになります。変換中の文字は入力欄の下に、ボタンなどより前面に表示されます。

特徴

• 設定は不要です。mods フォルダに入れるだけで使えます
• MaLiLib を使う MOD すべてに対応します(Litematica、MiniHUD、Tweakeroo、Item Scroller など)
• 1つの jar で Minecraft 26.2 と 26.3 の両方に対応しています
• バニラの入力欄の動作は変えません
• クライアント専用です。サーバーへの導入は不要です
• MaLiLib へのビルド依存がないため、MaLiLib が更新されても動き続ける見込みです

動作環境

• Minecraft 26.2 / 26.3
• Fabric Loader 0.18.0 以上

動作確認済みの環境

• Windows
• 26.3:Litematica 0.29.0 / MaLiLib 0.30.1 / MiniHUD 0.41.1
• 26.2:Litematica 0.28.7 / MaLiLib 0.29.6 / MiniHUD 0.40.7

動作確認は Microsoft IME(日本語)のみです。中国語・韓国語などのほかの IME でも同じ仕組みで動くはずですが、未確認です。Mac は未確認です。Linux はバニラ側の IME 表示が現時点で未対応のため、効果がありません。

CocoaInput や IMBlocker など、ほかの日本語入力系 MOD との併用は未確認です。
