Magnet OG

Stop chasing your drops. Magnet OG adds one simple item: craft it, right-click it, and nearby items and experience fly straight to you. It works from anywhere in your inventory, and it knows when to leave things alone: hoppers keep working, what you throw stays thrown, and nothing piles up at your feet when your inventory is full.

Switched on: every drop and orb around flies in.

5 iron ingots and 2 redstone dust. You’ll find it in the Tools & Utilities tab in creative.

• 🧲 Right-click to switch it on or off: it glows while it’s on, so you can tell at a glance, and a message and a sound confirm it.
• 💎 Items and experience come to you: everything within 10 blocks flies over, and the normal pickup does the rest, so stats, advancements and other mods’ pickup rules still work. It hops over steps and out of small holes on the way.
• 🎒 Anywhere in your inventory: hotbar, upper rows or off-hand. It doesn’t need to be in your hand.
• 🧍 Sneak to pause it: walk through someone’s farm or past a pile without taking everything.
• 🪣 Hoppers are safe: items on a hopper are left alone, so item sorters and farm collectors keep working around you.
• 🤝 Thrown items stay thrown: drop something or hand it to a friend, and the magnet won’t snatch it back.
• 🚫 No clutter at your feet: what doesn’t fit in your inventory stays where it fell, and what still fits comes over.

Everything can be changed in config/magnetog.properties (created on the first start, with a comment on each line):

• Install it on the client and the server: it adds an item, so both sides need it. In single player just add it to your mods.
• Works with Sodium, Iris and shader packs (the screenshots below use Complementary Reimagined).
• Every version is tested in-game before release (switching it with a real right click, items and experience at different distances, sneaking, a full inventory, hoppers, thrown items and every setting), with the result checked on the server, and boots on a dedicated server.
• MIT License: use it in any modpack.
