Level Mace
Every kill makes your mace stronger.
Pick up a mace, go hunting, and watch it evolve through 6 levels. Each level changes its look, boosts its damage and unlocks new enchantments and perks. Reach the final level and you get a one-of-a-kind Legendary Spear.
How it works
- Kill any mob while holding the mace in your main hand and it gains one kill.
- Progress is stored inside the mace itself, so it is never lost if you drop it, store it in a chest or give it to a friend.
- Hover over the mace to see its level, kill count and active bonuses.
- Any mace works. Your own enchantments (Unbreaking, Mending and so on) are never touched.

(Damage shown as the value in the item tooltip. Speed and max health bonuses apply while the mace is in your hand. Lifesteal restores health on every kill, Shield gives golden hearts on every kill.)
Your choices
You decide how your mace grows. Clickable buttons appear in chat when a choice unlocks:
- Level 3: Density or Breach. Whatever you pick keeps growing at levels 4, 5 and 6. The choice is permanent.
- Level 5: keep Wind Burst at II, or upgrade it to III. The choice is permanent.
You can also choose with commands while holding the mace:
/levelmace density · /levelmace breach · /levelmace wind2 · /levelmace wind3
Until you choose between Density and Breach, that enchantment is not applied. Wind Burst stays at its base level if you never choose.
Legendary Spear
Reach level 6 and you receive the Legendary Spear once:
- A separate item, stronger and more durable than netherite (4000 durability)
- Comes with every compatible enchantment at its maximum level (curses excluded)
- Repaired with netherite ingots
- Unique animated texture
- Can also be obtained with
/give @s levelmace:legendary_spear
Textures
Each level has its own texture, from a plain stone-grey mace to a glowing, animated purple and gold legendary one.
